Spin Cycle: Intro to Lyra Spins

The better the technique, the bigger the spin! Let’s lay a solid foundation for those big spins, including centering both under and in the hoop, plus introducing flare pathways. Bring a way to film yourself - we will have in-workshop video review so you can take breaks and let your body recover. Come hydrated and bring some ginger/ peppermint/ candy along as well!

Prerequisites: Unassisted entry to the hoop and a 20 second long hang from the top bar or under the bar. A straddle inversion is needed for a flare, but I can give progressions for participants that are still working on their straddle up.

Required Materials - a way to differentiate your legs (different colored socks, a scrunchie, etc) plus a phone for in-workshop video review. Ginger or peppermint may also be helpful for nausea.
